Crawdad Creek

Katydid took these pictures for me on Monday while Farmerboy played
his soccer game.  The creek that runs by the fields is at least as
much the reason why my kids like to play soccer as playing soccer is
itself.  Mostly they love the creek because they can hunt for
crawdads in its muddy, rocky bottom.

Knowing this, I picked up the book Crawdad Creek to read to Farmerboy back in the springtime. We have read it many times this summer, and it’s always nice to consider our very own crawdad creek when we do!
